Congratulations to my World Champion Atlanta Braves!!

I’ve been waiting a long time to say that. I remember 1995, Chipper Jones looking like a recent graduate, Wohlers pitching, Marquis Grissom’s catch, and the dog pile on the mound, but I’ve really been looking forward to the day when it would happen again. I wish we could’ve closed it out at home so I could be there, but I’m also afraid we might’ve burned the place down in celebration, so maybe it’s best we didn’t clinch at home. And since you’re wondering, yes, I did consider getting tickets in Houston and flying out there, but we did fly out there (to Arlington) last year, and we seemed to bring bad luck, so we didn’t want to jinx it. But there will be a parade on Friday, and we can celebrate with the team then. Until then, quite frankly I’m looking forward to catching up on some sleep now that it’s all over.
